Retro Server 7.4
November 13 2025
Dear community, this article aims to introduce you to Tibia Relic (7.4), a project that had us working hard for the past year, a project in which we truly put our hearts on.
Tibia Relic was built by two devs that have been playing Tibia since the early 2000's and have been around the OT server scene for a long while as players. All these years of gameplay in different servers wielded a vast source of inspiration for custom content, as well as a sense of what works and what does not work when it comes to slow-paced servers. Our goal was to preserve the classic map while also presenting an innovative gameplay, with the introduction of new quests, creatures and areas in a 7.4 format, while preserving the challenging and grindy nature of that version.
We kindly invite you to read more about our work in the following topics.
Tibia Relic is a 7.4 server with 1x rates that aims for a long and stable run, with zero tolerance towards cheaters and no pay-to-win mechanics other than the standard premium account purchase. This 7.4 client was built to run on RealOTS engine, being downgraded straight from the 7.7 leaked files, having the devs manually reversed most of the patched mechanics, sprites and map back to their original 7.4 form.
Although Tibia Relic embraces the spirit of classic 7.4 Tibia, it also provides the player with a vast amount of custom content. The custom features play a very important role in the concept we propose for this server, especially when it comes to the RPGing and mysteriando aspects.
This server's custom features are mostly focused on the RPG aspects of Tibia, introducing three major custom questlines that interweave between the classic and custom lores. These questlines are often required to unlock access to custom regions of the map that contain new villages, NPCs, quests, houses and hunting grounds. All the custom respawns have been thought through and balanced in a way that they do not overshadow the hunting spots available in the classic map itself.
Tibia Relic has also implemented more than ten functioning epic quests that will require the player to travel the map, explore new locations, learn about the lore from NPCs or books and sometimes solve puzzles. Each one of these epic quests will grant the first player to solve it a unique one-time-reward epic item. There will be plenty of opportunities and many subplots in the lore for you to explore and see where it takes you!
Beyond the classic monsters, our server will also present you with a number of custom creatures, bosses and raids. The custom creatures range from weak early game monsters to late game juggernauts that can threaten even high level players. All custom sprites have been made exclusively for this game.
Some of the classic quests were edited in order to provide an even more challenging and slow-paced gameplay. Many of the quests that usually provide you with mid-game equipment had their rewards modified or removed, for example, the Black Knight quest (crown armor + crown shield will no longer be obtainable there) and the Behemoth quest (which will no longer give you a Guardian Halberd). These changes were made to restrict the speedrun potential in the first months of the server, while also increasing the trade value of most mid-game items, thus motivating more players to organise themselves to hunt the creatures who drop them.
We have slightly increased the base armor of most of the mid-game and late game gear. This measure was taken in order to motivate the player to invest into upgrading their equipment, since having a better set will have a higher impact in the gameplay.
Some locations and lores of the original 7.4 map were partially or completely reworked to fit the custom questlines that were implemented. This happens more notoriously in the Darama continent map and lore, due to a complete rework of the city of Ankrahmun. This rework felt needed due to the many experiences from other 7.4 servers that indicate the spawns introduced along with the city of Ankrahmun are just too overpowered for a slow-paced server, allowing players to powergame in a faster pace than what we intend to be possible.
Cheating will not be tolerated in Tibia Relic. We use advanced systems to detect potential cheaters. Actions like using multiclient, bots and macros will result in a permanent ban of the cheating account and also of every account accessed by the cheater. These harsh measures aim to dissuade people from cheating in any way, keeping the game fair to all players.
Our staff is composed by two devs who have played Tibia together since elementary school. Both of us have regular jobs outside this venture, meaning Tibia Relic is more of a hobby than our main source of income.
Elao is a professional dev, who was responsible for most of the code-related work in Tibia Relic.
Elro is a public employee with a PhD in political science, and was responsible for most of the mapping, creature building, quests, books, NPCs and overall lore editing.
We are here to keep enjoying the game, as we had for decades now, but this time we will do it from a different perspective — as admins — in a way we thought of trying many times in the past but we never had the time to dedicate for such a big project, as it always felt like it would only be worth doing it if we were able to ensure it had a quality level that fits our standards.
Finally, by the first months of 2025, we started organising ourselves to dedicate a few hours a day to this project, and bit by bit, we saw it taking shape, until we could finally see we had something special in our hands.
Today, we are very proud of what we built and very eager to share this adventure with the community. We invite you all to take part with us in this long journey that lies ahead of us, may it be exploring, grinding or fighting; making friends or foes (or both). All that matters is that you have a good time, and if you do, so will we!
Best regards, the Tibia Relic team.
